Running the Pontefract 10K in Memory of Katy Powell 💛
Fundraiser Story
We’re running the Pontefract 10K as a group from the studio alongside Allerton Bywater Primary School in memory of Katy Powell.
Katy was a beautiful soul who worked at the school and touched so many lives with her kindness, warmth, and positivity. She sadly lost her life after a brave battle with cancer and was cared for with incredible compassion by the Prince of Wales Hospice.
Dan, Katy’s husband, has also been a valued part of our studio from the very beginning, offering support and encouragement throughout our journey. Taking part in this run feels like a meaningful way for us all to come together and honour Katy’s memory.
We are raising funds for the Prince of Wales Hospice to help support the amazing work they do for patients and families facing incredibly difficult times.
If you are able to donate anything at all, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Thank you for helping us celebrate and remember Katy in the best way possible 💛
The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist care for people with life-limiting illness and their families
in the Five Towns area of Wakefield District. We support around 2,000 local people each year.
