Story
We recently lost a very dear friend Dayle to frontal lobe dementia at an awful age of 28. He was the most outgoing, wild, funny and spontaneous person and there wasn’t a single person who didn’t love him. He left behind two beautiful boys and a wonderful memory behind him. I am running 10k in his memory and I hope I do you proud mate.
We are YPWD and our charity provides support services throughout the working week to people with dementia who are diagnosed under the age of 65. We support families from as early as in their 30’s, who never could have foreseen that they would be living with a progressive disease so early on in their lives. Our charity provides a safe and fun environment, reducing loneliness, promoting confidence, boosting mood and offering a helping hand to not just the person with dementia, but their loved ones who are coming to terms with the illness.
