Story
Highland Deaf Children’s Society supports deaf children, their siblings and parents/carers throughout the Highlands.
They are a small but amazing charity that has been in existence for over 50 years. HDCS provide a safe space for deaf children to meet up with others who also live with a hearing loss - ‘friends just like me’ as one child expressed it. Parents, siblings and carers can also meet up and share friendships, experiences, advice, guidance and support each other through the challenges as they arise.
Many of you may know our connections with the deaf community. We are both supporters of this amazing group and have both decided to walk 100 miles each this month to raise much needed funds for this very small but worthy charitable organisation.
