Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When my first was small she made a little friend called Oscar. A beautiful, smiley little guy who lit up every room and made was so very loved.
When Oscar was about 1 and a half he started showing signs of struggling. After a lot of doctors visits and some huge perseverance from his parents, the family received the diagnosis that Oscar had stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma.
Oscar then underwent extensive treatment and seemed to responding, but in 2018, during a check up, there appeared to be a change in his disease.
His family decided to start to raise funds to try to get Oscar onto a treatment program and I pledged to cover a mile for every day he had been fighting. At that time that was around 720 miles.
Only a few days later I received a message that the disease was now not responding to treatment and nothing else could be done.
I need to keep my promise and despite 3 false starts I am now embarking on covering the 800 miles to help raise as much money as possible to fight this disease and to mark Oscar’s 10th birthday.
I’m slightly petrified, but whether I run, cycle, walk or crawl I will get it done and your support would mean the world.
