🚴♀️ London to Brighton – here goes nothing! 🚴♀️
This September, I’ll be swapping my desk chair for a bike saddle and taking on the famous London to Brighton cycle ride. Now, I should admit something upfront… I am not a cyclist. In fact, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been on a bike in the past twenty years! So this challenge is definitely pushing me far outside my comfort zone.
Luckily, I won’t be pedalling alone. I’ll be joined by my husband Chris and my cousin Jonah – both seasoned professionals on two wheels – who I’m hoping will keep me motivated (and maybe even wait for me at the top of Ditchling Hill).
I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for Age UK Kensington & Chelsea, a brilliant local charity where I’m proud to serve as a Trustee. They provide vital support to older people in our community – from tackling loneliness and isolation, to offering practical help, advice, and activities that help people live well and feel connected. Their work makes a huge difference every single day.
Your support will mean so much – not just to me as I wobble my way to Brighton, but to the older people who will benefit from the services your donation helps to fund.
Thank you for cheering me on and helping me to make every mile count. 💙
