Peeps are the only UK charity dedicated to supporting families touched by HIE.

HIE stands for Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy and is a lack of oxygen and blood flow to the brain, most often happening around child birth.

We provide counselling, wellbeing and mental health support, bereavement support, funding for essential equipment, information and signposting, peer support, online wellbeing and information sessions.

Hi, I'm Beth and I suffered an HIE event at birth. Peeps is a brilliant charity and they have supported me and my family for many years.

I would love to give something back to them, and so am taking part in their 8th birthday challenge.

During the month of August, I am going to attempt to stand in my standing frame for the equivalent of 8 minutes per day - a total of 248 minutes across the month.

I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me, as this is going to be a difficult challenge.
