Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 6 April 2024

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Headway is a charity that has personally helped us a family after Arthur's daddy, my husband was involved in a car crash leaving him with a severe brain injury. Craig's brain injury has been life changing and Headway were straight to our aid to provide support for us as a family.

It is time for us to show our gratitude and raise money for an amazing charity that provide an incredible amount of support to those with a brain injury.

We will be joining a group of fellow gym members from Bird Boxx Fitness gym to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks walking challenge 6th April 2024. The challenge involved walking the 24 mile challenge including climbing the following 3 mountains: Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). Arthur (Age 5) will also be taking on his own challenge of climbing one of the mountains himself.

Every 90 seconds someone is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. The cause can me for multiple reasons including a fall, road traffic accident, assault, stroke or tumour. Most of these people will need support following the brain injury and this is where headway can help.
