Story
On the 14th of November, I’ll be setting off to cycle 500km across Kenya as part of Ride Africa — an unforgettable challenge in support of a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.
This isn’t just another charity event for me.
I helped create Child.org — a small but determined charity working to make pregnancy and early motherhood safer for women in Kenya. Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand the extraordinary impact this work has: from mums learning to recognise the danger signs in pregnancy, to community health volunteers saving lives in remote villages, to entire clinics transformed by better training and equipment.
Every penny raised through Ride Africa helps fund these programmes — supporting the women, families and communities who inspire me every single day.
The ride itself will be tough: 500km of red dust, heat, hills, and long days in the saddle. But I can’t wait. Because every kilometre will remind me why we started Child.org — and how far we’ve come thanks to the support of friends, family and strangers who believe in a fairer start for every child.
If you can, please sponsor me.
Your donation goes directly to the work on the ground — funding health education, community outreach, and practical support for mums and babies in Kenya.
Thank you for helping me make every kilometre count ❤️
