In February 2008, I experienced a profound loss. My mother, just a few weeks shy of her 36th birthday, passed away from complications with epilepsy. Although I was not yet 4 years old at the time, my childhood was marked by the sense of something missing, a void most people do not experience so young. My mother was an incredibly strong, beautiful, and kind-hearted woman who deserved to see her children grow up.

Now, in memory of that love and strength, I am joining hundreds of others in the "Walk 50 Miles in February 2026 for Epilepsy Action". Together, we are challenging ourselves to complete this journey to help ensure nobody has to face living with epilepsy alone. By raising funds and awareness for Epilepsy Action, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this condition.
