We’re joining #TeamSpoons and running the Great Manchester Run 10k on 18th May 2025.

As many of you will know, our little boy, Isaac, was born nearly 10 weeks prematurely in September 2021. Isaac spent the first 9 weeks of his life in NICU receiving various care and treatment including oxygen support and a blood transfusion.

This was an incredibly traumatic experience for us as a family, one that will live with us and shape us forever. Happily, Isaac is now a thriving and incredibly cheeky 3 year old, and we are eternally grateful for the incredible care he received.

We are also forever grateful for the support we received from Spoons. Becki received trauma therapy through Spoons, and the Spoons messy play classes were the first steps Isaac took into real world socialising!

Becki is now a Spoons trustee, with a view to paying forward the support that we received to other neonatal families.
