Story
On 28th June, I will be running 100 kilometers hopefully in under 24hours through the Peak District. This isn't just any run; it is a journey filled with purpose and determination. I am undertaking this challenge to support the Alzheimer’s Society, a cause that is deeply close to mine and my family’s heart.
Alzheimer's disease affects millions of people around the world. It steals memories, erodes independence, and places immense emotional & financial burdens on families. The Alzheimer's Society works tirelessly to provide support, raise awareness, and fund crucial research that will one day hopefully bring us closer to a cure.
Every step I take through the Peak District will be a testament to the strength and resilience of those living with Alzheimer's and their families and especially my mum who is the strongest and bravest woman I know being resilient throughout caring for my step dad. This run is not just about the physical & mental endurance required to cover 100 kilometers; it is about raising awareness and funds to combat this horrid disease.
I invite you all to join me on this journey, whether by supporting my run, sharing my social media posts, wishing me luck or making a donation. Together, we can make a significant impact. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to a world without Alzheimer's.
Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your belief in me. Let's run towards a brighter future, where memories are cherished and never forgotten.
Thank you.
