Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and hopefully adding to my fundraising pot to spur me on to smash the Sheffield 10k.

Those of you who know me will know how passionate I am about SCCCC and all the good things they do for isolated, lonely, and older people in Sheffield. I have been a proud volunteer for over three years visiting an older person, Irene (pictured above). I absolutely adore Irene, and we have developed a really strong bond. My visits to Irene are such a pleasure, we put the world to rights, we talk about the past, and laugh lots. My cup is always full when I leave her home, and I can only hope she feels the same. I have also supported the charity's Hospital to Home scheme, ensuring patients could be discharged from the hospital in time for Christmas.

**After writing the above, Irene on the 19th of August very sadly passed away. I am now determined more than ever to run as fast as my legs will allow in her memory**

I have seen firsthand the amazing things that SCCCC do, and how much they help older people in our community. Any money that you give will massively support the charity and help them to continue delivering their vital services.
