Story
On the 24th August, I am going to run the Antrim Coast half marathon in aid of Epilepsy Action. 🏃♀️
Some of you know I’ve been out on a few runs over the last year or so, so when I first signed up for the race, it was just for fun. However, I recently remembered that this summer marks the 10 year anniversary of my Epilepsy diagnosis. The last 10 years have been filled with a lot of ups and downs, including some tough and sometimes scary decisions around my health. I couldn’t have done it without the support of some incredible medical professionals, my family and friends! However, not everyone has the same support that I do.
That’s why I want to raise money for Epilepsy Action. Epilepsy is a common health condition that too many people know nothing about. Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others and providing support and information you can trust.
16 year old me couldn’t have dreamt of running 1km, let alone 21km - I’m so grateful to be where I am health wise. To be able to live my life with minimal side effects from my health condition is such a privilege. So by running this half marathon I hope to raise £2000 for Epilepsy Action so others with epilepsy can get the support they need to continue with their lives!🫶🏻
So if you are able, I would greatly appreciate any contribution you can offer, 100% of which goes directly from JustGiving to Epilepsy Action - thank you!
