Story

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽ„ Running across Europe this Christmas Day, with one shared goal: raising funds for MS research! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐ŸŽ„This Christmas Day, weโ€™re bringing runners together across the UK, the Netherlands and wider Europe to raise vital funds for MS research at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Our runners will run a distance of their choice on possibly the worst day of the year to go for a run: Christmas Day. They're taking time away from their families to show their support and raise money for research in MS.

๐ŸŒMS affects 2.9 million people worldwide, and Scotland has one of the highest rates of MS in the world.

๐Ÿง The symptoms of MS can be very variable, but might include numbness, vision problems, difficulties with walking and fatigue. Most often, the disease follows a relapsing-remitting course at first, during which the symptoms come and go. There is currently no cure for MS, but it is possible to reduce the number of relapses and improve symptoms using medicine, exercise and physiotherapy.

๐ŸงชThe Anne Rowling Clinic is a globally leading, patient-centred, integrated care-research facility. They seamlessly integrate the best NHS health care with the best University health research, as key to discovering and trialling new treatments for MS.

๐Ÿ’› Please sponsor us this Christmas Day! Every donation helps support vital research in MS.
