Story
My sister and I are taking part in the Manchester Canals Trek in May, which is a challenging 42k Trek; walking the distance of a marathon! (26 miles) Wish us luck!!!
My motivation for doing this challenge is my little girl, Cora Hope. Cora experienced a severe HIE event at birth (Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy) a type of brain injury resulting from a lack of oxygen and blood flow to the brain. This has led to Cora being diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, along with a long list other diagnoses. Cora shows us her resilience and determination each day and what it means to be brave beyond words. We’d like to give something back to help raise funds and awareness for such an important cause. Peeps have helped us as a family so much over the last 5 years and they are the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those affected by HIE.
Any donation, however small, really does go a long way to helping this amazing charity continue to provide invaluable support to countless families.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and any support is appreciated xx
