Our only child Rebecca died suddenly in July 2024. She was 18. Had she lived she would be celebrating her 21st birthday this month. To mark her significant birthday and to honour her, we, her parents and friends, will be walking all 21 miles of the Ullswater Way in Cumbria. We have decided to make this a fundraising event in aid of The Compassionate Friends who have been a lifeline in our grief.

The Compassionate Friends support bereaved parents and adult siblings who are grieving the loss of a beloved child who has died from any cause at any age (from 1 month old into adulthood).

The Compassionate Friends, who are all bereaved parents and siblings themselves, offer understanding and comfort nationwide to parents and families surviving this life-changing loss.
