On 13 July, I'm taking on the challenge of completing 10K in memory of two incredible people who meant the world to me and my family—my beloved Grandma Brenda and a treasured member of our family circle John. We have lost some other remarkable people in the family and this is for them too. Some of my incredible friends and family have faced, or are still battling, cancer, and I’m also running to honor their strength, resilience, and courage.
This is my first race since taking part in the 2019 London Marathon and after 4 years of not running due to knee and ankle injuries it's time I got my running shoes back on!
I won't be running alone some 20 colleagues and friends from Sky and AWS will run the London 10k.
We are seeking to raise money for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). CRUK work across the UK and 39 countries internationally, and are the world’s largest independent funder of cancer research.
They also provide amazing information and guidance, a real comfort to patients, their families and friends.
