I am the Finance Director at Black Swan Architecture, and we are a big supporter of the RMA Charity. Each year one of the staff challenges themselves by joining an organised event with them. This year is no exception! I have decided to take the plunge and enrol on the Commando Training Challenge 2025 taking place at the Commando Training Centre (CTCRM) – the legendary home of the Royal Marines on 17th July 2025.

To give you an insight of what is in store for me, the challenge kicks off on the Royal Marines’ notorious Endurance Course at Woodbury Common, where I will face legendary obstacles such as the Sheep Dip and Peter’s Pool over a demanding 3-4km route. Next, I will head to the Bottom Field Assault Course at CTCRM for a re-energising warmup led by the PTI team followed by a timed best effort, pushing myself to the absolute limit!

Luckily, I have our Founder and Director Marcus, and ex-Royal Marine, on hand for inside training and tips to help me prepare for the arduous courses as well as having his full support from the side lines on the day!
