Story
We’re kicking off the new school year with our first charity fundraiser: Jeans for Genes Day!
We’ve proudly supported Jeans for Genes for many years, and this year marks the charity’s 30th anniversary of raising funds and awareness for genetic research. Over the years, many of our students have benefitted from the incredible work this charity does.
On Friday 19th September, staff and students can show their support by wearing jeans to school.
Please note:
• Students must still wear their blazers, ties, and school shoes (a letter will go out on Mcas on Monday)
• No trainers, hats, or hoodies
• A small donation is requested to support the charity
Prefects will also be visiting tutor groups with a fun “Guess how many sweets in the jeans” competition.
For staff, in addition to wearing jeans:
• There will be a Genetic Facts Sweepstake (£2.00 per square) with a prize for the winning entry
• And of course, our annual staff photo in the library at breaktime
Thank you for your continued support, and keep an eye out for more exciting events coming soon!
