RED FUNNEL TAKE ON THE IOW ULTRA CHALLENGE FOR FRIENDS OF THE ANIMALS

This May, three Red Funnel colleagues take on the mighty Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge, raising money for our Charity of the Year - Friends of the Animals.

James Diaper and Emily Syvret will set off on a gruelling 106km route from Chale around the Island, starting the challenge early morning on Saturday 2nd May and expected to finish at Northwood County Showground sometime on Sunday 3rd May. Deckhands James and Emily will walk, jog or run through the night for around 36 to 40 hours, with little time to rest and no time for sleep as they complete this incredible challenge and test of fitness.

Alongside them, Customer Advisor Nikki Cascante will take on a whopping 52km route from Chale to Cowes, completing half of the overall Ultra Challenge. Nikki will start at dawn on Saturday 2nd May, expected to cross the finish line in darkness in the early hours after racing across the Island's hilly terrain.
