Redbridge Giving Tree

Across the globe, Lions are rolling up their sleeves and taking action. With over 1.4 million members, Lions Club International are the largest service organization in the world with 46,000 clubs. We’re as dedicated to helping those in need today, as we were over 100 years ago when we first began. Since the charter of our Club in 1995 Lions Club of London Seven Kings, we have raised and distributed over a quarter of a million pounds (£250k) to many worthy and charitable causes; with the help of our supporters. Along with raising money, we have given substantive number of hours in service to the local community and the environment, such as planting tree’s, distribution of Message in a Bottle, helping local hospices as well as with the elderly and those less fortunate. Please support the Seven Kings Lions Club. It's through your donations that we are able to continue serving those less fortunate than ourselves.

Story

The Redbridge Giving Tree is an initiative set up by the Seven Kings Lions Club to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children at Christmas. Now in its 9th Year, we have catered for 100’s of children and distributed circa £25,000.00 of gifts as a direct result of the generous donations we receive.

In the past we have given children an opportunity to select gifts (which they otherwise wouldn’t receive) to a total value of £10.00 per child.

This year we shall continue to provide gifts to children but are also growing our offering beyond Christmas by catering for Haven House, a well-known local children’s hospice that looks after seriously ill children. Haven House has been supported by the Seven Kings Lions Club in the past and are currently in need of a CADD Solis pump which we have agreed to fund and supply. This is a device that is used to send fluids, medication, and chemotherapy as an intravenous infusion to patients.

Once again, we have the kind support of Keeta Raines, Stephen Clements, Stuart Wiggins, Nicky Wheeler, Nicos Charalambous, Mark Williamson, Sasha Mills and Andrew Osuoha from Lloyds Banking Group plc to whom we are immensely grateful.

Please give whatever you are able to afford and make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children.
