Danny,Jason,Jon & Simon fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society Red Bull Soap Box Race

Simon Mills is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
“Red Bull Soap Box Race London 2026”

on 20 June 2026

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Meet Team Belly Low and Ready to Go: Jon, Simon, Danny and Jason — four dads taking on the legendary Red Bull Soapbox Race in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.

For those unfamiliar, the race involves hurtling homemade, gravity-powered carts down a steep course packed with jumps, obstacles, crowds, and questionable decision-making — all while trying not to lose any wheels (or dignity).

Inspired by Jorge the actual Corgi — described as “a dog that would be much faster with wheels” — the Corgi-Kart was born. Behind the laughs is a cause close to all our hearts, as Alzheimer’s has impacted us and many other families. We’re racing to raise awareness, raise funds, and hopefully survive the downhill intact.
