The Three Peaks Challenge · 5 April 2024

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 5th-6th of April a group of friends from a small Midland’s town called Redditch will be looking to climb The Three Peaks Challenge of Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike & Snowdon in 24 hours.

Our aim is to raise £5000 for the mental health charity MIND after two of our brothers & close friends & amazing souls Kurt Concannon & Joe Aspindale sadly losing their own personal battles with mental health inside of the last 2 years, being a small community this has truly rocked us all to lose two special people.

Not to mention Luke Barron from Oakenshaw, Kyle Gregg who moved to the town as a teenager and lived at the Dog & Pheasant pub & Declan jones from Bromsgrove all of whom too lost their own battles recently.

There is a stigma currently around men’s mental where men feel they can’t talk about their own thoughts or feelings. We want to be a voice for the ‘sad lads & broken dads’ who feel they can’t speak up and be the voice from one small town that won’t go unheard anymore.

Mental health and suicide rates in 30-40 years olds males are increasing & male suicides account for around 75% of the overall total.

As we set off on our expedition in our attempts to be mountain goats for the day, with us all having an aim of raising £500 individually this is where we’ll need your help & support to reach our target of £5k and beyond hopefully.

You now know what, where, who & why we’re taking this challenge on…..

So we ask where possible for donations, whether you yourself have struggled personally, or know of anyone who has struggled or lost their battles then a donation of any size we will be forever grateful & thankful for

Thank you x
