Redwynn's fundraiser for Cornwall Wildlife Trust

5K Across The Bay · 13 July 2024 ·
Water and the ocean are fundamental to life on Earth…reduced water quality and reductions in biodiversity caused by the Climate Emergency are already happening.
It’s worth conserving, and we need to all act in our own ways.
I am taking on the 2024 5K Across The Bay event for Cornwall Wildlife Trust on 8 September! By splashing across maerl beds and seagrass meadows, I will be helping to preserve their future by raising funds for the Ocean Emergency Fund, while also ensuring that Cornwall's unique marine life can be preserved for future generations.
Here is how your donations could help the future of Cornwall's marine life:
*£10 could purchase 10 hessian bags to securely plant seagrass seedlings to restore seagrass meadows.
*£20 could allow us to sample and test 10 water quality samples, helping to inform the secure of the future of these habitats.
*£50 could pay for a specialist talk to boat owners, empowering them to make alternatives to anchoring on seagrass beds.
*£100 could pay for one snorkel survey to assess impacts and monitor our seagrass beds.
