Story
Two Sisters. One Cause. One Goal.
This July, we are taking on the Endometriosis UK Walk for Endo challenge and committing to an incredible 18,000 steps a day between us to raise awareness and vital funds for a cause that is deeply personal to both of us.
Between us, endometriosis has led to infertility, baby loss, chronic pain, multiple surgeries and countless days where simply getting through the day has felt like a challenge. Yet despite affecting 1 in 10 women, endometriosis remains widely misunderstood, underfunded and still has no cure.
Many people think endometriosis is “just bad periods”. The reality is very different. Endometriosis doesn’t only affect us for a few days each month – it is an everyday illness. It impacts our health, our families, our careers, our mental wellbeing and our ability to plan for the future. Some days it is manageable. Other days it can be completely debilitating.
Perhaps most shocking of all, it takes an average of 9 years to receive a diagnosis. That’s 9 years of pain, uncertainty and often feeling unheard. That’s why Endometriosis UK’s challenge is based on walking 9,000 steps a day throughout July.
As sisters who live with endometriosis every single day, we wanted to go one step further and double that target by walking 18,000 steps a day between us.
We know endometriosis. We live it. We face it every day.
By supporting our challenge, you’ll be helping Endometriosis UK continue its vital work to raise awareness, provide support and campaign for better understanding, faster diagnosis and improved care for everyone affected by this condition.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
Thank you for supporting us and helping us walk towards a future where no one has to wait years for answers.
