Story

In our shared experience, one in two of us will experience a mental health diagnosis during our lifetime. I am no exception, and am constantly working hard to overcome my own mental health challenges. Psychiatric and psychological care has seen rapid improvements over the past 100 years, which has benefitted countless individuals (including me). Yet, recently, we have seen both sides of government fail to deliver on their mental health policy promises. Mental health is falling behind, creating life-altering problems for the people who need these services. At worst, people can take their own lives. At best, people live in pain. Queensland Brain Institute is an outstanding example of a research institution that is progressing the mental health movement. Please donate to the Queensland Brain Institute, as our teams take on The Relay for Mental Health. In teams, legends will aim to complete a 100km run together at Rocks Riverside park on Sunday 21 September. They are suffering, so we don't have to. Please donate to this amazing cause! Your $50 donation would be a step in the right direction.
