Rena had a special love for manatees and found so much joy in watching them visit her cove. She was also a fierce protector of these gentle giants! She never hesitated to chastise a neighbor for giving them fresh water or getting a little too close in a kayak. She wanted everyone to love and respect them as much as she did. Honoring her memory by helping protect the manatees she adored feels like a beautiful way to carry on her love for these special creatures.
