Story
Join us on an incredible journey as the York & Scarborough Hospitals Research & Innovation Team, along with some of our amazing colleagues from various other teams, departments and institutions we work with, embark on a cycling distance challenge of 85 miles!
On June 20, 2025, our dedicated team will be based at York Hospital, using an exercise bike stationed in the entrance to Ellerby's Canteen at York Hospital, to cycle the distance from Selby War Memorial Hospital, across to York Hospital, then on to Bridlington Hospital, and finally finishing at Scarborough Hospital. This will see us virtually visiting all our main research active hospital sites in one day.
This event is not just about cycling; it’s about uniting our research community in supporting, and raising awareness of, the vital research and innovation the charity supports that can transform healthcare for everyone. We believe that every pedal stroke and pound raised brings us closer to breakthroughs that can save lives and improve patient care. Your support is crucial in helping us reach our fundraising goal for the York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity. Together, we can make a difference!
We invite you to join us in this inspiring challenge by donating today, by using the link provided. Or by coming along on the day and donating any loose change into our charity buckets, or simply offering words of encouragement as our champion peddlers cycle to victory in the Hub space in Ellerby's canteen entrance.
Every contribution counts and will help fuel our mission to advance medical research and innovation.
