Our annual fundraiser is back! This year’s Walk of Hope takes place on Saturday 27th September 2025, or you can organise your own Walk of Hope on any day that suits you.

Story

Over 100 Researcher Workshop delegates (including 88 Researchers supported and funded by Brain Tumour Research) will be stepping out to take part in our very own Walk of Hope.

Taking to the streets of York, they will be putting one step forward to help support our vital research and campaigning work.

Every donation will help make a difference as together we work to find a cure for all types of brain tumours.

Please show your support for this incredible group!

£10 could pay for a month of microplates, which are everyday lab dishes that are essential for researchers exploring the effects of new drugs on brain tumour cells.

£25 could fund a PhD student for a morning to carry out discovery research in one of our Centres of Excellence, helping to accelerate the journey to discoveries that could lead to new clinical trials and treatments.

£25 could pay for a researcher to study the genetic properties of a tumour sample, paving the way for personalised treatments.

£50 could pay for an hour of a Senior Research Fellow’s day running a Brain Tumour Research lab, developing and co-ordinating vital research projects from a team of PhD students.

£100 could help sustain a morning’s work by a senior researcher, investigating potentially ground-breaking new ways to destroy brain tumours.

£150 could help pay for a day of gene sequencing to help understand how brain tumours grow.

£300 could pay for all of the solutions, pipettes and dishes needed by a Centre each day to work on analysing the behaviour of brain tumour cells.
