Story
After the success of last year, we are excited to announce our upcoming 2025 Responderthon!
Since the scheme's launch in 2014, we have volunteered over 43,000 hours and have been dispatched to 14,000 emergency 999 calls, positively impacting the lives of thousands of patients and families in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Thanks to our active, experienced and highly trained volunteers, we are proud to be the country's busiest University Co-Responder schemes.
However, the scheme relies on donations and grants to help us build a more self-sufficient training programme while developing our volunteers into highly skilled and confident future doctors.
Alongside our full time studies, we’re taking on the challenge of providing emergency response coverage for an entire week, 24 hours a day, using 2 of our response cars. Each vehicle will be crewed by either a solo responder or a pair of Co-Responder volunteers who will aim to be actively attending 999 calls across Nottingham and Derby, around the clock.
The dates of this year’s Responderthon will be :
Start: 1200 Saturday 27th September 2025 Finish: 1200 Saturday 4th October 2025
If you would like to donate on this page and share with family and friends to allow us to raise the vital funds to keep the scheme running at the highest standard, we really appreciate your support!
