Welcome to the Birmingham climbs Kilimanjaro campaign! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation, I am on mission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with my good friend Lachlan. Meningitis is a disease which primarily affects young people of student age, which is why it's a very important cause to me. If you are so kind as to make a donation, 50% of the proceeds, along with any additional GiftAid moneys go straight to MRF, and 50% will go towards funding the trip, which I am investing my own money into as well. I am really passionate in doing this trip as it is dedicated to my Grandad who was bedridden with meningitis in 2014, as well as all the young, student age people just like who are affected by meningitis. Since posting this fundraiser, I have been inundated with messages of support, and people voicing their stories, which only adds fuel to the fire.

To boost fundraising efforts, and aid in my training, I have decided to run a half marathon. It's definitely outside of my comfort zone but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I'll be sure to post regular updates during training!
