Story
On Sunday 19th April 2026 I will be running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for the MND Association. This is a cause that means more to me than I can ever fully put into words.
In October 2023, my Dad was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease, and since then, life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. Alongside balancing everything else in life, I have taken on the role of being one of his carers over the last few years. This is something that has been both incredibly challenging and deeply emotional.
Watching someone you care about face such a cruel diagnosis is a journey that tests you in ways you don’t expect. This is why completing marathon means so much to me. Every mile ran is for my Dad, my family, and for everyone else going through the reality of an MND diagnosis.
The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. By sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Once you donate, JustGiving will then send your money directly to the MND Association.
Any donations to go towards this great cause would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
