Story
Our daughter Freya is taking part in the Quest Annual Sponsored Ride in Chobham on Sunday 29th March, where she’ll be joining the Mini Easter Trail Ride to raise sponsorship for the incredible charity Quest RDA, a place that means so much to our family.
Freya has many challenges in life, but when she’s on a pony she is completely at peace. It’s one of the few places where she can truly relax and just be herself.
Freya absolutely loves animals, and the connection she has with the ponies is something really special. Riding every fortnight helps keep her calm, regulated and happy. The ponies seem to understand her in a way people sometimes can’t.
Quest RDA provides therapeutic horse riding for children and young people with disabilities and is run by the most dedicated volunteers. With annual running costs now over £100,000 a year, they rely hugely on donations to keep going so that children like Freya can continue to benefit from something so life-changing.
If you’re able to donate anything at all to support Freya’s ride and this amazing charity, we would be so incredibly grateful. Every penny really does help keep this wonderful place going for the children who need it.
Thank you so much for supporting Freya 💛
Quest rides take place at Laris Farm in Chobham in the large outdoor school or through the Woodland Trail. Horse riding offers an opportunity for enjoyment, challenge, friendship, laughter, achievement, independence and confidence, not just for our riders, but for our volunteers as well. Throughout the week and at the weekends, teams of volunteers help provide rides for small groups of children and adults from the surrounding area.Watch a short film about us at https://sunflowereducation.box.com/s/zq2asrejj1msuryahzlfrptgpajqtk7w
