I am taking part in Charity week with PwC foundation raising money for Islamic Relief. Charity week have pledged to put £1,000,000 of money raised over the week towards causes in Palestine. beyond this the money would go towards a number of causes such as continuing aid in places like Morocco and Afghanistan after the recent earthquakes. The money can also go towards orphans sponsorships in different countries or helping aid in places like Yemen.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire” (Hadith, Tirmidhi). He also said that Allah offers relief on the Day of Judgement for those who give sadaqa: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).
