Story
🎂 In Loving Honour of Anne Sweeney
As Nana’s birthday approaches at the end of August, I’ve been reflecting on just how much she meant to me. Growing up, one of the hardest lessons we learn is that we eventually lose the people we love most. But it’s also in those moments of loss that we come to appreciate the support systems that exist to care for others like them.
That’s why I’m supporting Scotland’s charity for older people — an organisation that exists to improve the lives of people over 50 across Scotland.
They offer:
💜 A free, confidential helpline for older people, carers, and families
💜 Support for local older people’s groups
💜 Age- and dementia-friendly programmes
💜 Wellbeing services
💜 Campaigns to make Scotland a better place to grow older!
Random caller below’s qoute😥😞❤️
“This service gave me hope. They listen to you, and they don’t judge you. The calls always make me feel less alone.”
In memory of Anne Sweeney and in celebration of her life, I want to help make sure no older person feels alone. If you’d like to mark this day with me, please consider donating, sharing, or simply spreading the word.
Let’s make Scotland a kinder, more connected place for older generations ❤️
Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit Age Scotland, and any donation will help make an impact.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
