Story
Two challenges in two weeks!!
12th July - Race to the Stones (Running 62 miles of the Ridgeway, Lewknor to Avebury)
24th-27th July - National Three Peaks Challenge, cycling between each mountain. (In short it’s 28 miles of hiking and 560 miles of cycling over 4 days)
Why?
In her hours of need, my dear friend Paula and her family were looked after by Compton Care. Their staff were so caring, attentive and compassionate and we want to help to ensure that other families can continue to count on Compton’s services and staff in their toughest times.
The Challenge
Race to the Stones - My friend Andy and I will take on the 62 mile run along the stunning Ridgeway, starting in Lewknor (Oxfordshire) and finishing in Avebury (Wiltshire) within 24hrs.
Lord Bilston Big Challenge - 26 cyclists and I with a support team of 12 will be completing the National 3 peaks, cycling between each mountain.
On the evening of Thursday 24th July we will tackle the UK’s tallest mountain Ben Nevis. An Overnight stay in Fort William will be a start point on Friday 25th July for our 252 mile epic cycle to Wasdale in the Lake District.
On the morning of Saturday 26th July we will tackle Scafel, Englands tallest peak and on completion proceed on our 200 mile cycle to Pen-y-Pass at the foot of mount Snowdon.
On Sunday 27th July we will ascend Wales’s tallest mountain then proceed on our cycle of 106 miles back to Wolverhampton.
