Blackpool Marathon - Blackpool Festival of Running · 21 April 2024

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In June 2023 we said goodbye too soon to Chloe. Chloe was a beautiful, caring and selfless soul. Chloe took me under her netball wing many moons ago and always saw the best in people, netball was her passion.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.

Chloe's aim was to raise as much money as possible for Pancreatic Cancer UK and to help her to her goal Team Patsy and Eddie are taking on another challenge, this time in the form of a Marathon.

I told Chloe after the London Marathon I would never run a marathon again, her reply was "Yeah, right, of course you will". Well here we go Chloe, this ones for you!
