About George's Rockstars
George's Rockstars was set up in memory of 6 year old George O'Shaughnessy, who battled leukaemia from 22 months old. The charity is inspired by George's experience with music therapy while undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Bristol Children hospital, aged just 4 years.
Music therapy isn't widely available to most NHS hospitals and George's Rockstars have changed that, bring music therapy to 6 hospitals in Hampshire and Sussex in George's name.
Music therapy help children and their families to process living with serious illness, disability or mental health crisis in hospital through music and without having to put feelings and anxieties into words.
