We are raising money for a cause that is very close to our hearts

—North West Cancer Research.
In 2026, both myself, Rhiannon, and my sister-in-law Hannah have committed to a major challenge: running a half marathon every single month across the year. Alongside this, we’ve also signed up for the Chester Triple—completing a 10km in March, a half marathon in May, and a full marathon in October. We have already completed three half marathons by March 2026, and we are determined to keep going.
This journey is especially meaningful to me as I only started running in June 2025, so every mile truly represents dedication, growth, and purpose.
We are doing this in memory of loved ones we have sadly lost and in support of those still fighting. We lost Nathan—Hannah’s husband and my brother—in 2020 to bowel cancer. Hannah also recently lost her Nan to a kidney tumour, and my aunt has just undergone major surgery to remove a lung tumour.
I am also raising money in memory of a much-loved colleague, Debbie Hedges. I am the Clinical Director of Acorn Veterinary Centre, where Debbie was a highly skilled veterinary surgeon. She passed away in 2020 from a bladder tumour, leaving behind two wonderful young boys. She was an incredibly valued member of our team, and the whole clinic misses her dearly. We want to do something truly meaningful in her memory.
Cancer has touched our lives in so many ways, and that’s why we are determined to do something positive in the face of it. Every step we take is for them—and for the many others affected by this disease.
Please consider donating to this very worthy cause. Your support will help fund vital research, bring hope to families, and give others the most precious gift of all—more time.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. 💛
