Story

MY STORY❤️

For more than half of my life, I’ve lived with psoriasis. To many, it looks like “just a skin condition,” but the truth is far from simple. Psoriasis doesn’t just cover your skin it invades every part of your life.

It’s the hidden pain of cracked, bleeding skin that makes clothes unbearable, showers sting, and hugs feel like fire. It’s the emotional toll of carrying a condition that affects confidence, relationships, and even the way you see yourself.

But psoriasis doesn’t stop there. It often leads to bigger battles, like psoriatic arthritis, which can change your whole future. Spending years too embarrassed to show the doctor the spreading psoriasis invading every part of your body. Eventually getting the courage to show them after years and years of it spreading out of control.

The treatments I've tried over the last 7 years themselves can be as brutal as the condition: chemotherapy-based drugs, injections that have left damage to my lungs, and the endless side effects that make you feel ill when all you want is relief.

For seven years and counting, I spent every single week going to the hospital for more treatments. Blood tests every few weeks, x-rays, more tests checking to see what damage the medications were doing to the rest of my body. All of this just for the hope of pain-free skin, of feeling human again.

Now, I’ve set myself a challenge: to walk 100 miles in 31 days, with a torn ligament. Every step will hurt, but every step will represent the silent struggle so many of us face. I’m raising money for the Psoriasis Awareness Association, because awareness matters. Because no one should feel alone in this battle.

This challenge isn’t just about walking. It’s about showing the world what living with psoriasis really means the visible and the invisible, the skin and the soul, the scars inside and out.
