Story
I have decided (along with the most supportive husband ever, Amir) to take on the Great North Run as a complete beginner to running in memory of my mum, who sadly passed away just before Christmas, as a way to positively channel my grief. In her final days, she was cared for by an incredible hospice whose kindness, compassion and support meant so much to us.
This run is our way of saying thank you and giving something back to a place that made such a difficult time a little more bearable. Every mile we train for will be for my mum and for all the families who rely on the care and comfort that Saint Michael’s provides.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help support their amazing work and will mean so much to us and our family. Thank you for helping me turn something so painful into something positive and in her memory 💜
