RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Update

Unfortunately after reaching the 32mile mark I was in to much pain from a earlier fall and I was at a point where I could not continue.

However all is not lost I am going to recover sort out the issues I faced.

And then I am going to finish what I started. More updates when I am ready

On 21st August 2026, I will be attempting my toughest challenge to date: walking the entire 83-mile Rhins of Galloway Coastal Path in one continuous effort.

My goal is to complete the route in approximately 48 hours, walking day and night around one of Scotland's most rugged and beautiful coastlines. This will be the longest and most demanding challenge I have ever undertaken, pushing both my physical and mental limits.

The truth is, I don't know if I can do it.

I've never attempted anything on this scale before, but I believe that the greatest challenges are the ones that test us. Whether I succeed or fail, I am committed to giving everything I have to the attempt.

I am taking on this challenge to raise money for the RNLI.

Since moving to Stranraer, I have had the privilege of volunteering with the RNLI and have seen first-hand the dedication, professionalism, and commitment of the crews who are ready to respond whenever the call comes. Day or night, in all weather conditions, volunteers give their time to help save lives at sea.

This challenge is my way of giving something back to an organisation that means a great deal to me.

My fundraising target is £2,000, and every donation, no matter the size, will help support the RNLI's lifesaving work.

Thank you for your support, encouragement, and generosity. It will make a huge difference when the miles get tough and the finish line still feels a long way away.

83 miles. One coastline. One attempt.
