Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Once a month, i will be doing streams for different charities. This month is going to be Dravet Syndrome UK. Dravet Syndrome is a rare form of epilepsy which is drug resistant and has comorbidities. These can include ADHD, autism, speech, mobility, eating and sleeping difficulties. Along with chronic infections. Even when there is a break from seizures there’s still symptoms. We’re going to raise as much money as possible for Dravet syndrome research in hopes we can finally get a cure for those affected.

Their mission is to bring hope to families living with Dravet through support, education and medical research.

Here is the story from one of our good friends:

"Hiiii all, I’m a dravet warrior and wanted to share my story so far. I had my first seizure at only 4 months old, I then went onto have many more seizures over the next 3 months. I was diagnosed at 7 months old with a rare catastrophic form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome, to this day I have had thousands of seizures, and on days where I don’t seize I still suffer the effects of this condition and all the medications that I am on. It affects my daily life, I can’t do things that everyone else can do because every little thing can and will trigger a seizure. There is little knowledge about this condition and currently it’s pretty unmanageable. My seizures last between 10 minutes to 2 and a half hours. My longest seizure was 4 hours long. I know some of you won’t be able to donate but please share this stream with a friend, it would been the world to me, and the rest of this community if we can raise as much money and awareness about Dravet as possible in hopes to finally get a medication which may be the thing which allows me to finally make at least 100 days seizure free which would be the longest I’ve gone in my life"
