Why I’m Fundraising for MS Together
In September, I will be taking on a challenge to cover more than 150km in just 7 days, all in support of MS Together.
MS Together is a charity that is incredibly close to my heart. It has helped someone very special to me navigate the challenges that come with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), providing access to counselling and support during an incredibly difficult time.
MS can affect everything from vision and mobility to memory, fatigue and thinking. It can make someone feel like a stranger in their own body. Beyond the physical symptoms, receiving a diagnosis can bring fear, uncertainty and a sense of losing control over your future.
The counselling provided through MS Together helps people process these challenges, understand their diagnosis and move forward with confidence and hope.
To raise money for this incredible cause, I will be completing two endurance events across consecutive weekends.
On 13th September, I will take on the Vitruvian Triathlon, consisting of a 1.9km swim, 89km bike ride and 21km run.
The following weekend, I will be lining up at the Lone Wolf Wyre Forest Backyard Ultra, where competitors run a 6.7km loop every hour, on the hour, for as long as they can continue until the 24th hour where the winner is crowned.
Together, these challenges will push me well beyond my comfort zone, both physically and mentally. However, they are nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by those living with MS.
My goal is to raise £1,500 to help more people access the support they need when facing an MS diagnosis.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a genuine difference.
Thank you so much for your support. Whether you donate, share this page, or simply cheer me on along the way, it genuinely means the world.
