Story
This summer, Rhodri and Gethin Poacher are taking on the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path — a two-week challenge with over 11,000m of elevation, more than climbing Everest.
This journey is deeply personal. We grew up exploring this coastline with our grandparents. Our grandfather, Bob Powell, was passionate about preserving it — serving on the National Parks Authority, co-founding the Friends of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and restoring youth hostels along the route we’ll now retrace.
We’re also walking for our incredible grandmother, Una Powell. A pillar of her community for over 50 years, she has been living with Alzheimer’s since her diagnosis in 2021 and we’ve witnessed its heartbreaking impact firsthand. We’re raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK in her honour — to support the fight for a cure.
Every step is for them — and for everyone facing this disease.
Please support us with a donation, a share, or even just a few kind words when the going gets tough. It means the world.
