Story
Myself and some of my friends are taking part in Action Cancer’s Breast Foot Forward Walk 2026. I am walking in memory of my two sisters who both bravely battled breast cancer and in memory of my mum, who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer 23 years ago. I will also be thinking of other much-loved family members who we have lost to cancer, while celebrating and supporting those who have thankfully come through it.
Cancer has deeply impacted my family, making this cause incredibly close to my heart. Both of my sisters used the Action Cancer screening bus, so the vital work and support this charity provides means so much to us personally.
Together we are walking for everyone who has faced cancer, lost someone they love, is currently fighting, or who may one day receive a diagnosis. The support, screening and early detection services provided by Action Cancer are truly life-changing for so many families across NI.
It costs Action Cancer £120 to provide just one potentially life-saving breast screening appointment. Every donation, no matter how small, will help Action Cancer continue providing these vital services and support to local people when they need it most.
Thank you so much for your support — it genuinely means so much to me, my friends and my family.
