Romsey Mill's Y3P Challenge 2024 · 18 May 2024 ·

Support a team of people who will be walking the 25-mile trek in Yorkshire, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough; aiming to complete within 12 hours, while raising funds to support the vital work of Romsey Mill in Cambridge.

Story

Living in Romsey I'm so aware of the great work done by Romsey Mill, working with young people, children and families in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. With services for pre-schoolers, young parents and youths they reach out to many in our community in need. They have a brilliant Youth Development Team working with disadvantaged, at-risk and vulnerable young people, supporting and nurturing in many ways through youth groups, arts and music, leadership programmes and education. They also have a specialist Aspire programme for autistic children and young people, many of whom face social and sensory challenges.

I'm doing this challenge with others from the local community to help raise awareness and money for a fantastic cause.

The challenge is a 25-mile hike in 12hrs, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

With not many hills around Cambridge to train on I'm a little apprehensive but hoping my legs will figure out how to climb!

Please consider giving towards this great charity!
