Story

We're raising the final £500 needed to purchase a bespoke RMA wheelchair rugby chair for Rhumbie.

Thanks to the incredible support of grant funders, we've already raised £5,850 towards the cost of a new chair. We are now just £500 away from our target and need your help to get over the finish line.

Rhumbie is 21 years old and was born with cerebral palsy. She has found a real passion in wheelchair rugby and currently plays for Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Club and the Tigresses women's team. Her dedication, determination and positive attitude have helped her achieve some fantastic success recently.

This season, Rhumbie was awarded the Tigresses MVP at the Women's Cup and was part of the team that won the Division 2 League title. Her performances and commitment have also earned her invitations to Great Britain Women's and Girls development camps.

Anyone who knows Rhumbie knows the energy, enthusiasm and positivity she brings to every training session and match. Wheelchair rugby has become a huge part of her life, helping her build confidence, friendships and sporting success.

Unfortunately, the rugby chair she currently uses is over 12 years old, too large for her and is beginning to fall apart. A bespoke RMA rugby wheelchair, built specifically to fit Rhumbie, would improve her comfort, safety and performance on court, allowing her to continue developing and competing at a higher level.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help us raise the final £500 needed to make this happen.

Thank you for supporting Rhumbie and helping her continue her wheelchair rugby journey.
