Both women and girls are faced with numerous barriers hindering them from joining in and playing football and excluding them from the opportunity to reap the benefits of the amazing sport. Raising awareness about these obstacles tackles the root of the issue and allow for reflection to happen and for solutions to be found/made.

As coverage surrounding women’s football is growing we need to be a part of the change that is furthering the game and promoting it to more people from all generations to get involved. The barriers that exist are not concrete and can be overcome if people are brave enough to take a stand or reach out a hand to help and support.

We are supporting Women in Sport with our campaign as they are a charity who fight gender stereotypes and institutional bias that are holding girls and women back from sport and in life. Sport has the ability to transform lives and their vision is that no-one is excluded from the joy, fulfilment and lifelong benefits of sport and that is a vision we fully endorse.

Throughout our campaign we will be hosting numerous events to raise awareness, money and provide opportunities to more girls to participate and play. Any donations no matter how large or small would be greatly appreciated and go towards a great cause creating a world where sport for girls is more accessible and inclusive.
