Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
My name is Rhys. I’m 36, dad of one, love football, food and beer. :)
Next year, I'm running the Manchester Marathon in honour of my dad, Stephen, who sadly passed away in April this year.
I've decided to challenge myself to complete the marathon on April 27th, 2025, aiming for a time under 4.5 hours. It's a significant step up from my usual not be able to run at all runs, but I'm committed to this goal. This means going t-total and watching what I eat. For those who know me, this will be a challenge!
You can join me on this journey by following my new Instagram page: rhys.tommo.running. There, I'll share the highs and lows of my training, and yes, you'll see just how many football tops I own!
My dad was an amazing man who always put his family first. He built a successful business and ensured we had the best life possible. He helped me with everything in life. He supported me at university, helped me get onto the property ladder and always offered his opinion on Manchester United (last 10 years wasn't pleasant!). While we miss him every day, this marathon is my way of saying thank you and giving back to a cause close to his heart.
So, please follow along, share, and like my Instagram page. Any donations to the National Autism Society are greatly appreciated. All of my social media and Spotify playlist (if you wish to add any songs for me to run too!) are linked below
For the best Dad and Grandad anyone could ask for!
